Moleskin

Moleskin is a premium cotton fabric that is woven then cut to create a short soft pile fabric on one side. The feel and appearance is suede-like, and is noted for its softness and durability. As well as a long history with British workers for its insulating and windproof qualities, it was also popular with military snipers who would wrap the stocks of their rifles in it to absorb sweat. Its name is due to the soft brushed hand of the fabric, similar to mole fur. See our Terrace overshirts.
